The Laser's Edge
Summer, 1998

Local boy makes good! First solo album from guitarist Scott McGill currently a member of Finneus Gauge. McGill's been playing for quite some time gaining a reputation and following in the Philadelphia area. With this album he shows that he's ready to challenge the big boys. The Hand Farm is actually the name of the band - a trio consisting of McGill on guitars, Kevin Woolsten on bass, and Anthony DeSimone on drums. This is blistering hot fusion somewhat similar to Allan Holdsworth's earlier works - you remember - back when he gave a damn. Woolsten and DeSimone do everything they can to keep up with McGill's fiery runs. Keyboard wimps need not apply!!
